Either Angel's wrong about him, or he's really good at putting up a false, if less than shining front in public. That's the most suspicious behavior I've seen from him so far. I can't confirm without more information, but the only way to get it...
[He pauses, takes a breath, then just plunges ahead.]
Normally, I wouldn't ask you to put yourself at risk, but she specifically said that you're in as much danger by association as me. Jim, I'd like you to use that program you found to see if this Jack has any private network threads that can tell us what we're really dealing with.
[ It's calm, more of a 'wait while I read' than a 'I need time to make a decision.' It doesn't take long to come to the conclusion that this Jack guy's probably a piece of work, and that's before he turns on the filter program. ]
[ After he turns on the program, there's no doubt in his mind. He sends Kunsel over a series of screenshots, and then another. ]
-He's her dad. And he's threatening to kill someone, looks like he's already done it before. A lot.
[Kunsel curses under his breath - the kind of curse that is most definitely not PG. Something new for Jim's vocabulary.]
Dammit. Not that I wanted to think she'd lie, but-
[But no one wants to deal with a homicidal psychopath. He releases a rough breath, scrubbing a hand through his hair.]
Well. Now we know she told the truth. I'll show this to Zack when he wakes up. Jim, can you do the same with Cloud and Hiro? Make sure to emphasize that we all need to watch what we say. Don't engage this man. Don't draw a target on your head. We don't know what he's capable of here, but we don't want to take any chances - especially Hiro.
[Because Hiro's the least capable of defending himself if it comes down to a fight.]
[ That about sums up how Jim's feeling looking over all this. What do you even do about this? ]
Yeah. Of course. I'll let them know. We'll stick to the wall as long as we can, avoid anyone if we see them. Nobody's going to talk on the network, but ... that video. With your eyes. It's already up there.
[ There are a lot of non-PG words running through Jim's head right now - cursing like a sailor is pretty literal, as it turns out - but he bites them back. ]
We'd need to find him first. Preferably before he realizes that we know about him. Unfortunately, I don't know what he looks like. Angel just mentioned he has a mask.
For now, keep an eye out for any mention of a location on the network, or any specifics about his surroundings. I'll do the same. Maybe we can track where he is.
Yeah, I'm going to be searching for private threads, too. It sounds like he may be a danger to everybody, not just people with enhancements. Whatever we do is going to have to be permanent.
[ Since apparently thinking's the only thing he can do right now, he changes the subject: ]
I'm not certain how permanently we can deal with him. There's reports that death isn't always permanent here. [He's not certain how much credence he can give those claims, since it's possible that people were just mistaken about how dead they actually were, but if the possibility exists, it's one he needs to take into account.] But we'll figure something out.
[If nothing else, surely they can make Jack think twice about trying to kill anyone here.]
Zack thinks he has an idea where he is. Assuming nothing stops us, we think we can make it in a couple days.

[He sends Jim a few quick links.]

Nothing we can do about that now. We'll just have to hope that people pass it off as a trick of the light. No one called us on it then, at least.
[It's not like their eyes are as bright as flashlights.]
It was brief, too. A lot of people might not even notice.

[ Not about the network, about Jack. ]
-A guy like that running around is a disaster waiting to happen, if he's going to go through with any of that. We're going to have to do something.

department of redundancy department /o\ sorry.

Have you found anything about Clayton yet?
Ahah, it's okay

[ Jim's seen enough to know they don't always come back - Tadashi was proof of that so far. ]
Keep in touch, alright?
[ Jim realizes he sounds like his mom when he says it, but the stakes are high. He really needs these guys not to disappear somewhere. ]

We will. Same goes for you. If you guys find anything, let us know, alright?
[Just because they've had all this suddenly dropped in their laps doesn't mean that the things they were doing before aren't still important, too.]
link ooc also timey wiimy bullshit

[And now he should really try to get some sleep, at least as much as he can with all of this on his mind.]
